Information for higher degree students can be obtained from a range of sources. The most important source is the Research Student's Centre. However, for information on procedures that relate to Faculty of Education HDR students you should consult the Faculty Student Affairs Office.

Students should also acquaint themselves with information on general student and other rules that govern the QUT community.

The journey through a HDR course is demarcated by a number of key milestones. A detailed description of the process for the PhD course is available by reading the PhD Journey. Key milestones include confirmation and oral seminar presentations which are scheduled in block sessions several times each year normally in February, August and December.

The Centre will provide support where possible for students across a range of areas. If you require assistance to attend conferences to present research or you need support with academic matters you should contact the HDR Student Coordinator and refer to the information on Conference and Study Support. Additional documentation relating to HDR students and the CLI is also available via procedures and forms.

HDR Forum

The purpose of the May 06 HDR forum was to update HDR students in the Faculty about administrative issues and processes. It also provides an opportunity for students to meet each other and build the collegial and supportive environment that is essential to world-class research.

For more informaiton refer to the HDR forum program or contact the HDR Student Coordinator
