The research projects being conducted in the Faculty of Education reflect the large and diverse range of research interests of the staff and the HDR students. Each program, though discrete in terms of its educational focus, is linked to others within the Faculty and also to research being conducted in other QUT Faculties. For example, the Early Years program is closely connected to the Faculty of Health, while the Creative Workforce program is also funded by the ARC Centre of Excellence for Creative Industries and Innovation based in the Creative Industries Faculty.

All programs contribute to the RQF profile of the Faculty of Education and all provide input into the future research directions of the Faculty through the CLI Executive Group and the Research Management Committee. Doctoral and masters programs are also connected through the Higher Degrees Committee. The research programs and the research precincts are supported by full-time administrative staff within the Centre. The Centre welcomes further links with the higher education sector and with industry.
