  • To review the processes for setting and implementing national standards in order to identify strategies for the future that reflect contemporary evidence.
  • To examine current approaches to the promotion of quality in child care across Australia in regard to national standards, State and Territory Government regulations and quality assurance systems.
  • To develop options and recommendations for national approach to children's services standards-setting that reflects wise quality practice and supports continuous improvement in child care (long day care, out-of-school-hours-care, family day care and in home care).
