The Project Team has extensive knowledge and experience across the fields of policy development and analysis, early childhood development, care and education, social justice and social change, health, economics and finance.

Professor Collette Tayler has extensive experience in ECEC policy and research, and is currently working with the OECD on the Thematic Review of Early Childhood Education and Care Policy in 20 countries. Collette brings to the Project a highly developed understanding of Australian ECEC, including the dynamics of the child care sector, and an international perspective on quality standards and processes.

Mr Mike Wills, formerly Director of the Queensland Office of Child Care, has extensive policy experience in Australian ECEC, working with both the Australian and Queensland Governments. Mike brings to the Project deep knowledge of both historical and contemporary standard setting and quality assurance processes in Australian ECEC.

Associate Professor Jacqueline Hayden, Director of the Healthy Childhood Research Group, University of Western Sydney, brings to the Project specialized knowledge relating to the key areas of child health, safety and wellbeing as well as extensive knowledge and experience of child care policy and provision in Australia, Canada and the USA. Jacqueline is the chief author of the NSW Health Promoting Progam for Early Childhood Services.

Dr Clevo Wilson, an economist whose expertise is in the area of cost-benefit analyses brings to the Project specialised knowledge and methodologies related to the economics of service delivery programs.

Ms Stephanie Dunbar, a Senior Research Assistant in the Centre for Learning innovation, brings to the Project knowledge and skills in measurement design and statistics and had a lead role in the survey design, data management and processing.
